Last Friday, I went to pick up my paintings. The school had thrown them away because it was "the end of the term" and needed space for September. One of my painting was my best work, ever.
It took me the rest of the day to take my breath.

This is the most ambitious (by its size) painting I ever did. It took me a while to figure out what to do with it. The relationship between body/space/painting is very different for big painting than for smaller format which you can put on your table and view as a whole as you work on it. When a painting is bigger you need to step back and you need fluidity of movement. And you need more space. The proportions are also different. Anyway, it was a new experiment and of course I did it at school which was stressfull at first.

School is off for a week. I brought back my stuff home. Hopefully I'll be able to paint often.

I am back to doing photography. The weather is warming up. So it's easier for me to pull out my camera.
This said, I am not giving up painting. From now on, I'll be at the Art Student League on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Big deal for me as I have never painted in such an environment.

I finally started using acrilyc paint! it's very different from oil. it's fun experimenting. You musn't be afraid of messing up. It's like innovation...
I have to work much faster with this medium. It's difficult to correct something you don't like. Once dry, it's permanent.
I have to find info about this new paint.

Happy New Year to all of you! I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2008.
As you have noticed I haven't posted anything new in the last few weeks for I was moving out. I now live in a new and much bigger place in Brooklyn.

Dear friends and family,

I've finally posted my latest paintings. I have a few more but need a better lighting to shoot them. Most paintings are oils. Some are on wood, other on canvas paper. They vary in size.

Tell me what you think by writing commentaries directly into the blog.

If you know anybody who would like to exhibit them, please let me know.
